Sephora Favorites Draw the Line Eyeliner Sampler Review

Back again with another Sephora Favorites sampler! Today I have Draw the Line, an eyeliner sampler. (In the Glow coming soon!)
Draw the Line comes in the same pretty metallic packaging that opens like a book and is tied with a glittery ribbon. For $28 you are getting 6 products, with THREE of them being full size! It includes full size Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Cream Liner, Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Liner, and Sephora Collection Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner, and deluxe samples of Buxom Insider eyeliner, Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Liner, and Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil. These favorites sets are really such great deals.

Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner in Midnight Black

I have been wearing this liner everyday since I got this set, and I have to say I really love it. It's has a smooth gel formula that glides across lids and sets quickly. Midnight Black is a pure, rich black that dries to a dark matte black. This has worn like iron from me lasting the entire day until I remove it with makeup remover.

Sephora Collection Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner in 09 Glitter Black

This retractable eyeliner comes with a smudger and tip sharpener in the end. When it comes to glitter in eyeliner, this delivers with a very pretty glimmers of silver glitter within the black. A decently soft formula, but not soft enough to break during use. This goes on fine but can be a little chunky because of the glitter, so be careful.

Buxom Insider Eye Liner in Black Jasper

Jasper is an interesting shade, black but with a blue sheen to it. When it catches the right light, its gorgeous. Buxom has a decent formula but the unique color is really the star. It's not the most long lasting and does not stand up to water very well, but it does apply nicely and it's the perfect size for touch ups.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Mat Black 0L

I was so excited to try this eyeliner and had high exceptions for it, but it fell short for me. I don't find this very black, and needs to be built up to get decent pigmentation. It is pretty waterproof for a pencil though, and I have been using it on my waterline.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper

This eyeliner definitely lives up to its name of tattoo, being the most long wearing and waterproof of the bunch. All I can say is if you are looking for a liquid liner, this is one of the best I have ever tried. It comes in a marker style pen. Application is a breeze and once this sets, it lasts and lasts. The only problem I can see is the color, it's a nice black but not the deepest or darkest on the market.

Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner Eyeliner in Perversion

Another very nice liquid eyeliner, the Urban Decay 24/7 comes with a brush applicator. The brush is skinny and precise. Perversion is toted as the blackest black, and lives up well to its claim. This one true black and dries down to shiny finish. It lasts very long and is waterproof, but because of that formula it can crack once it dries or flake if rubbing your eyes a lot.

And time for the Water Proof test!

(washed with soap and water, rubbed more aggressively)

My results of the water proof test was Kat Von D lasted the best, followed by Smashbox. Urban Decay and Make Up For Ever are tied for third with UD flaking and MUFE faded. The Sephora Collection only has specks of glitter left, while the Buxom took last place, eventually completely fading away.

Over all, another great set. If you're looking for a new eyeliner this is perfect to test out six from great brands with half of them being full size. At $28 dollars that's less than $5 a piece. $5 for Urban Decay and Smashbox full size eyeliners? Get on it!!
