Fresh Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Duo - Sephora Birthday Gift!

So my birthday was last Friday, and with my last Sephora order I got the Fresh Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Duo! This won't be a full review since it's free for any Beauty Insiders but I thought I'd just show it off since I love it so much.

The mini Fresh Sugar lip balms come in darling metal tubes that are great quality. The original Sugar is a clear balm, and the Rose leaves a beautiful flushed tint. You get a good amount of product although the actual lip balm is thinner than most. The only problem with that is it gets wobbly from the base as you get close to the bottom. These have a light sugary citrus scent and are super moisturizing. As a fair warning these are super addictive! I received another rose one in the Sephora Give Me Some Lip set, which I've since used up, as well as the original from this set. I literally scraped every bit of product out of the tube once finished. Love these!

Maybelline Chic Naturals Quad in Designer Chocolates Reviw

Sorry for the hiatus, but today I'm back with yet another quad! This one is from Maybelline and is one of their Chic Naturals in 40Q Designer Chocolates. I got this quite some time ago before I decided to review it, so it is quite used.

The four shades are a shimmering off white, a light beige tan with some shimmer, a almost metallic burnt maroon shade, and a matte chocolate brown.  All have decent pigmentation, nothing fantastic but not awful. The formula is workable and I have found actually quite long lasting. I actually use the brown shade as a brow color (and have hit pan since taking these pictures!) and it stays all day for me. These quads retail for about $6-7 dollars in my area and are good for a quick look. I would really recommend these for beginners with makeup.

Maybelline The Mega Plush Mascara Review

I'm a huge fan of Maybelline mascara's and in particular of the Volum' Express line. I love collecting each new release and the Mega Plush was no exception. This mascara claims to have a gel mousse formula to make lashes soft, and well plush! I got mine in Blackest Black.

The wand is an oblong oval shape and is flexible so it can wiggle during application.  I found the Mega Plush has a rather wet but still thick gel like formula that applies smoothly. I had a few clumps but just combing through with the wand smoothed everything out. I found the Mega Plush didn't give me the false lash effect, but it did plump my lashes up nicley and add a rich black color. Overall, I like the more natural full lashes it gave me without any flaking, crunchyness, or spider lashes. It's not love or a holy grail formula, but it's a nice everyday mascara with a unique formula.

China Glaze Instant Chemistry

I picked up a few magnetic polishes when the trend was really popular but as I find them to usually be darker shades, I've only really been reaching for them this fall. The other day I wore a color form the China Glaze Magnetix collection called Instant Chemistry. Subtle as far as magnetic effects go, but a gorgeous shade of blackened rasberry. Super opaque as well.

Wet N' Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Just Peachy

Today I have a little review on Wet N' Wild's Mega Last Lip Color in 903C Just Peachy.

This lipstick is a pretty shade of nude peach with a matte finish. This lipstick is opaque and full coverage, but the formula is very dry. It accentuates any flakiness or dryness on the lips so I would recommend a moisturizing lipbalm before use. This lasted a 3-4 hours on my lips before needing touch ups so I would say it's fairly lasting but I don't know if it's worth of the title "Mega Last." Overall for price of a few bucks at the drug store, it's not too bad but it's certainly not the best. I wasn't a fan of this dry formula, but it might prove better for those who appreciate matte finishes more.

Gradient Nails

Gradient nail art I did using Sephora by OPI It's My Pink and China Glaze For Audrey. Really loved wearing this one!

Tempted by Teal Sephora by OPI

Today to share I just have a beautiful metallic teal green polish from Sephora by OPI. 2 coats provided great coverage and a fast dry time. Formula was excellent, I have loved all the Sephora by OPI polishes I've been trying lately.

Laura Geller Fresh Brewed Beauty Baked Collection

Laura Geller is a brand I have been wanting to try for a while and when I saw this Fresh Brewed Beauty set on QVC, I knew I had to have it. (I set an alarm for midnight so I could wake up and grab it first!) I got it as the Today's Special, but it's still available on the OVC website and only a few dollars more than the special. Fresh Brewed Beauty comes with a whole face worth of products, including a foundation, blush, eyeshadow palette, highlighter, lip gloss and applicator.
This super cute set is inspired by Laura's love for coffee and comes in an adorable faux coffee bag.

Double Ended Face and Eye Applicator

This applicator is about the size of an average brush and of decent quality, I haven't tried it out as I'm not a fan of sponge applicators.

Baked ImPRESSions Eye Palette (Creamy Latte, Warm Mocha, Dark Roast)

In this palette are a trio of coordinating browns, the lightest is a tan shade called Creamy Latte. The medium shade is a warm camel color and has the best pigmentation of the three. Dark Roast is the darkest, and the one that gave me the most trouble. This chocolate shadow had a very hard texture and was difficult to get any pay-off. This pay have just been mine though as I've seen other reviews where people have had no issues.

Balance & Brighten Foundation in Porcelain

I was very excited to try Laura Geller's Balance & Brighten foundation, which retails for $33 by it's self.  I was also glad that QVC offers it in Porcelain, as the Light would be too dark. I do wish that she offered a bigger shade range though. This is an opaque, creamy powder that goes on smoothly. It doesn't offer great coverage but left a beautiful finish on my skin and didn't look powdery at all.

Baked ImPRESSions Blush in Mauve Mocha Latte

Mocha Mauve Latte is a beautiful warm brown pink. It has the same cute coffee bean impression as the eyeshadow palette. Pigmentation is great and it gives skin a natural, flattering warmth.

Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla

Ah, the main reason I was tempted by this set. I had been interested in this highlighter for a long time and was going to purchase it for $26 off the Laura Geller website. When i saw it in this kit, it sealed the deal. This is a lovley warm vanilla shade with a soft texture. It has no glitter, frost, or sparkles, just a natural luminous glow. I was afraid it might actually be too dark a highlight for me, but a little bit worked beautifully.

Color Drenched Lipgloss in Cafe au Lait

This gloss definitely lives up to its name as "color drenched", the pigmentation here is crazy. I would describe this more as a liquid lipstick than a gloss, with a smooth pigmented formula. The color is similar to the blush, a warm carmel mauve. This also has coffee scent and taste but it's very light. I'm not a fan of coffee taste at all and could tolerate it fine.

Wet N' Wild Color Icon Blusher in Heather Silk

Being really happy with the pigmentation of the Wet N' Wild Color Icon eyeshadows, I was eager to try a blush. I picked Heather Silk up at Rite Aid for about $3. A fantastic deal as you are getting 0.14 oz of product.

The blush comes in a clear plastic flip up package, cheap but reasonable for the price. A small angled brush is included but is very plastic feeling and I wouldn't recommend it for application. There is a pretty swirled design in the powder.

Heather Silk is a lovley dark matte rose shade, leaning more towards cool. The pigmentation is crazy here, one swipe provides intense color payoff. I was surprised how soft the texture was for the color, with little chalkiness. Blended out Heather Silk is a lovley flushed shade that would look beautiful on all skin tones. Fair beauties have to have a light hand though, or you'll end up with a lot of color!
This is a great blush overall and I would definitely recommend.
